A well-known data vendor collaborated with us for a large Government agency. We reviewed structured, unstructured and semi-structured data, reviewed the agency’s business operating model and interviewed business stakeholders. We determined the agency was spending too much money on data storage and retrieval, carrying specific risks at that time unknown and, using modelling, we were able to correlate two completely separate business processes that were influencing each other and determine how to control one data source to impact the other.
